Tasha Klein

Caught In The Snow

Thin airmail paper and
the gaudy green and
yellow Mexican stamp.
Inside,
a long breezy typewritten account of your trip
with picture of you,
slumped grinning on the beach,
disheveled, dingy,
looking as desirable as ever.

Rosy haze of sex
yearning to discolor
all values -

Now I stand in a
queer bluish twilight
with snowflakes whirling about,
stinging hot cheeks,
you, a ghostly waterfall
in my head.

Tasha Klein sent us this bio: "I live on Love Street with a black goldfish, crystal eggs that hold a rainbow and sounds of silence; all watched over by a painting called, China Dreams."

brilliant and touching
This is such a sad, wondefully nostalgic piece. The heart overflows to read it.

Slinky Words
I've been meaning to review this piece for a little while, I like it, plain and simple.
It has a nostalgic aftertaste, something I adore.

Back in time ... Thanks!!
Tasha.. What a perfect title, for a beautiful poem! I especially loved the "waterfall" line! I could "see" her on the beach even! It too reminds me of "many" years ago, and for those memories, I thank you! Keep up the good work.. lets see more!!

Evokes a longing I had forgotten I had ever felt.
I love this Poem. It reminds me of being in love at 17. That hopeless, desparate, consuming love.

"rosy haze of sex" -great line
The color imagery in the poem is excellent. I really like the way the colors used really illustrate the feeling in the piece.
